Premier League: Gabriel Martinelli's Late Goal Seals Arsenal's Thrilling Comeback Against Aston Villa
Arsenal have regained their winning ways but had to make a stunning comeback to win 4-2 against Aston Villa and moved up to the lead the table on three points clear.
Mikel Arteta's men dropped behind Manchester City in the table after losing 3-1 on Wednesday at Emirates Stadium - they had drew 1-1 against Brentford over the weekend.
Villa went ahead in just five minutes, and regained the lead after Arsenal found an equalizer through Bukayo Saka. The led the game through the first half - Ollie Watkin scored the opener and Philippe Coutinho restored the side in the lead.
The outlook of the game changed when Oleksandr Zinchenko steered a low-cut shot down bottom corner of the post and leveled for Arsenal on the hour.
Emiliano Martinez later caused an own-goal that gave Arsenal the lead after Jorginho's struck a shot that clipped the post bounced of the back of the Emiliano's head into the net in injury time.
Gabriel Martinelli had a perfect finish for the fourth goal in injury time after Martinez was beaten for leaving his goal following a corner against Arsenal.
The lost left Villa stunned though Arsenal were dominant throughout the game. The two costly goalkeeping errors from Emiliano jeopardized their chances of a comeback or at least getting a point off the game they stood the chance to win.
