Louis Vuitton Names Pharrell William As Men's Creative Director
American artist and music producer, Pharrell William has been announced as the new Men's creative director of Louis Vuitton and his appointment reportedly is by immediate effect.
The famous American singer, in effect, is the successor of luxury brand former creative diretor, Virgil Abloh, who passed away in November, 2021. On Abloh's appointment in 2018, he became the brand's first black creator and also was the founder of another luxury brand, Off-White.
Louis Vuitton chairman and CEO, Pietro Beccari in a welcome statement to Pharrell believes his appointment will help bring about a "very exciting chapter" to the brand being a person with wide range of experience.
"His creative vision beyond fashion will unboubtedly lea Luois Vuitton towards a new and very exciting chapter," said Beccari.
Pharrell is not new to the brand with which he had worked with a couple of times neither is he unfamiliar with the fashion industry as he had collaborated with Adidas and also co-founded a Billionaire Boys Club streetwear with fashion designer, Nigo in 2003.
