Champions League: RB Leipzig Secure Draw Against Man City From Josko Gvardiol's Late Goal

RB Leipzig managed to secured a 1-1 draw at home against Manchester City from Josko Gvardiol's goal in the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 first-leg tie.

City were poised to make the most of the game especially in the first half when they were dominant and yet let that slid away after taking the lead, allowing a comeback from the hosts midway of the second half and they became dominant of the remainder of the game.

Riyad Mahrez latched onto a pass from Ilkay Gundogan and drilled the ball bottom left for City's lead in the 27th minute but the second half saw a stunning header from Gvardiol for Leipzig's equalizer following a corner with 20 minutes remaining.

The Germans became aggressive soon after the equalizer and forced brilliant saves from Ederson as Timo Werner and Ander Silva made attempts at the goal.

Pep Guardiola kept his men throughout the game without making substitutions and they have remained unbeaten in every game played in this campaign of the UEFA Champions League.

City will return to Manchester where the second-leg tie game will be held against the Bundesliga side for a quarter-final qualification.
