Premier League: Erling Haaland Shines On Hat-trick As Man City Thrash Wolves
Manchester City are keep a close tab on table leaders, Arsenal after defeating Wolverhampton 3-0 at Etihad Stadium with Erling Haland scoring his fourth hat-trick for the side in his debut campaign.
Wolves goal became shattered from the 40th minutes as Erling headed home Kevin de Bruyne's cross and he doubled the lead five minutes after the halftime break from a penalty drawn by Ilkay Gundogan.
The Norwegian forward completed his hat-trick sweeping Riyad Mahrez's cross from close range following goalkeeper Jose Sa's floppy pass out of his 18-yard box.
City should have had two penalties awarded to them during the game but the referee only deemed Gundogan's foul as convincing. For much of the game, City had the most chance as against their opponents.
Erling now has in record more hat-trick than Cristiano Ronaldo and has as much as that of Mohamed Salah (4). He also passed previous record set for quickest to reach fourth hat-trick by Ruud van Nistelrooy (after 65th app.).
