FA Cup: Man City Kick Out Chelsea In Round Three
Manchester City comfortably claimed whooping 4-0 victory over Chelsea as they progressed to the Fourth Round of the FA Cup.
Chelsea were overwhelmed by the tenacity of City, leading to two penalties been drawn in a single game and were eventully eliminated from the competition.
Riyad Mahrez finished off a free-kick and put City in the lead, soon after Julian Alvarez doubled the lead from a penalty drawn from Kai Havertz's handball.
Just while it may seemed as if it could not get any worse than that in the first half, Phil Foden tapped home Kyle Walker's cross from inside the box.
It yet did not get better for Blues after the halftime break, as Kalidou Koulibaly dropped Foden in the box and Mahrez scored from the penalty given for City's fourth goal.
It was an unpleasant day for Blues manager Graham Potter as clubs fans in the audience coud be heard screaming the name of club's former manager Thomas Tuchel instead of his.
As the FA Cup Fourth ground draws are already out, City will face in the next round the winner between Arsenal and Oxford United; the game is scheduled to hold tomorrow at Kassam Stadium.
