World Cup 2022: England Eliminate Senegal To Reach Quarter-Finals
Senegal have failed to realise their hope of qualifying for the quarter-final after losing 3-0 to England as Bukayo Saka netted the winning goal to keep the side in a safe passage through the game.
Jude Bellingham and Phil Fodem played a huge role in keeping the English side attack effective and the Sengalese stood no chance of making a comeback while their defense is repeatedly penetrated.
The deadlock ended after half hour of play when Bellingham's cross found Jordan Henderson for low-cut finish down bottom left of the goal, and in the added minutes of the half, Foden's pass set off Harry Kane for a strike that doubled the lead.
Instead of a comeback from the Senegalese after the halftime break, the English side remained strong and vibrant, leading to a Foden's cross for a tap in from Bukayo Saka from close range in the 57th minute. England reached to the quarter-final of the Fifa World Cup for the second successive time in a row.
England are now face with a monumental challenge as they will face two-time champions France in the quarter-finals.
