Premier League: Man. United Take Comfortably Win Against Nott. Forest
Manchester United outperformed and beat ruthlessly Nottingham Forest 3-0 and closed in on returning to top four with just a point shy.
Forest stood no chance of getting a point out of the game and were neatly beaten which worsened their hopes of coming out of the relegation zone - a win would have taken them out of the red line.
United wasted no time to take the as Marcus Rashford scored following a corner and he assisted with a pass that set off Anthony Martial for the strike that doubled the lead three minutes later.
Both Martial and Rashford yet came close to adding one each to their scoring after the halftime break and were stopped by goalkeeper Wayne Hennessey until Fred curled home Casemiro's pass with three minutes remaining.
Horest, however, did have their chance but their goal was ruled out for offside position. Besides that moment, United was allover the place dominating the game.
Erik ten Hag has maintained a clean sheet with the team in four league games at Old Trafford. Meanwhile, Forests have been unable to score in six consecutive defeats in away league games.
