Brazil Football Legend Pelé Passes Away
Brazil football legend Edson Arantes Nascimento otherwise known as Pelé who is regarded as the grestest of the game has passed away. He was aged 82.
The deceased died after a long battle with colon cancer and all efforts by his doctors to rescue his health proved abortive as his situation continued to get worse.
Announcing the passing away of the multiple Fifa World Cup winner, his daughter Kely Nascimentos wrote in an Instagram update: "We are thanks to you. We love you infinitely. Rest in peace."
Pele was rushed to the hospital early November reportedly for swollen around his body and also for "decompensated heart" failure and was expected to stay in the hospital over Christmas after which his health condition turned fatal.
The deceased during his active years won three Fifa World Cups for Brazil between 1958, 1962 and 1970. He won the first trophy at 17 years, 234 days old - it was his World Cup debut appearance, Beazil vs Wales.

He holds all-time biggest goal scorer for Brazil with 95 goals in 114 cap of which 77 goals were from 92 official caps recognised by FIFA .
He holds all-time most assists in Fifa World Cup finals with 10 assists and most of that (7) was during the 1970 finals in Mexico.
