Premier League: Erling Haaland Injury Time Goal Seals Man. City Win Against Fulham
Erling Haaland rescued a 10-man Manchester City with an injury time stunner from a penalty to win 2-1 in a comeback at home against Fulham.
Fulham should have conceded two goals to Haaland who came in as a substitute but the VAR ruled out his first attempt from a header for offside position. No controversy over that as he was by half of his body in the wrong.
However, City's took the lead in the first half from a stunning right-footed shot from Alvarez. Meanwhile, Kevin de Bruyne had attempted a 25-yard shot at the goal but saved by goalkeeper Leno.
Few minutes later, Joao Cancelo's rough tackle on Andrea's Pereira would cost City a penalty and him being red carded and the game stayed levelled 1-1 until late into the second half.
Fulham found themselves careless on the 95th minute when Kevin was dropped in the box and Haaland scored from the penalty awarded and the side won the game.
As City moved up over Arsenal to lead the table on 32 points Haaland extended his goals tally to 18 and tops the Premier League top goalscoring standings for the season.
