Adidas To Resume Selling Of Ye's Trainers Without Brand Name Next Year
German footwear maker, Adidas has announced its intent to continue with selling trainers and its clothing line own by Ye, former known as Kanye but the items will not bear the Yeezy brand name.
Adidas has reportedly reviewed its profit projection for the year following the fallout with Kanye West over his statements that was regarded as being antisemitic. Since they have cut ties with the rapper and fashion designer, the footwear maker announced the products will be available again from next year.
In order to clarify on the company's rights to go ahead with their plans with Yeezy trainers and clothing line registered with them, an executive from the company, Harm Ohlmeyer revealed that Adidas owns every "design rights" to present and future versions of Yeezy product.
"We intend to make use of these rights as early as 2023," said Ohlmeyer.
Kanye began to fallout with Adidas when he wore a "White Lives Matter" T-Shirt at the Paris Fashion Week. That was when Adidas revealed it was going to put its relationship with the rapper "under review" as many of his partners like Balenciaga, Vogue and his recruiting agent CAA called off their contracts with him.
