Premier League: Double Hat-tricks From Man. City Sinks Man. United
Erling Haaland is quickly ramping up records in the Premier League and he has become the first player to score triple hat-tricks in three successive home league games as Manchester City secured a big 6-3 win against Manchester United at Etihad Stadium.
In a derby blessed with massive scoring spree, Phil Foden also added a hat-trick to the scores for City and United's Anthony Martial also scored a consolatory double for the side in the game that obviously was going City's way, anyway.
It was such a hopeless game for United as Foden kicked off the goal spree with a side-footed shot following a through a pass from Bernando Silva in eight barely minutes into game and he went on with Haaland to score four goals in the first half.
United's defense was clinical exploited by their hosts and tenacious play from the former Borussia Dortmund's forward could not but rip up manger Erik ten Hag's defense line.
Whilst Anthony dos Santos' superb finish from 25-yard could have restored United into the game after the break as their first goal of the game - the goal was his first in a Manchester derby - Haaland added in the fifth goal for a hat-trick and assisted Foden with a through pass for his hat-trick and the sixth for the City.
Anthony Martial later scored a double for United but only a consolation for United at the stage and it was already dead late into the game and the City made away with the maximum points from the Manchester derby.
