Mexican Grand Prix: Max Verstappen Wins Race To Make History

Max Verstappen has reached a histroic mileage of 14 race wins in a single F1 season which is the biggest for a driver in the sport history after he won the Mexico Grand Prix on Sunday.

Until now, the record was held by both Michael Schumacher and Sebastian Vettel, and with two races remianing in the season, the two-time champion is set to extend number of race wins even further. The Red Bull driver is also the first Dutch champion of the sport.

Lewis Hamilton and his Mercedes team could not find the niche to win the win as their tyre deployment strategy failed to give them the desired pace that will favourably challenge Verstappen. Even the Ferarri duo were worse off as they could not exploit Mercedes stops after Hamilton and George Russell struggled on hard tyres.

Mercedes are yet unable to snap their race win-drought this season and are just no match for their Red Bull rivals whose strategies on tyre deployment worked out well for. Besides, Verstappen is hard to beat on the straight and has better pace than Mercedes.
