Champions League: Inter Milan Beat Viktoria To Reach Knockout Stage As Barcelona Are Out

Inter Milan are through to the knockout stage of the Champions League after a massive 4-0 defeat of Viktoria Plzen while Bayern Munich 3-0 win against Barcelona sent the Spanish side out of the competition to the Europa League.

Edin Dzeko contributed two goals towards the victory and Romelu Lukaku who came in as a substitute for Latauro Martinez added in the fourth goal with three minutes left to play.

Viktoria were comfortably dominated by the Italian side and clinically tore down their defence for a easy penetration and that culminated in the opening goal from Bostoni's cross for Henrikh Mkhitaryan to nod home 35th minutes into the game.

As Inter progressed to the knockout stage in the second position in Group C, Bayern lead with 12 points and Barcelona for the second season in a row will be eliminated in the group stage.
