Champion League: Mohamed Salah's Stunning Hattrick Seals Liverpool Massive Win Against Rangers
Liverpool staged a stunning comeback to beat Rangers massively by 1-7 and Mohamed Salah's six-minute hat-trick thriller made the turnaround remarkable.
Salah came off the bench to make a plausible impact but before his eventful introduction into the game, Roberto Firmino had restored Liverpool back into the game by scoring twice to cancel out Rangers' lead from Scott Arfield's strike for the opening goal early into the first half.
Darwin Nunez made Reds more comfortable in the game when he scored the third goal curling home Firmino's pass. Whilst the game already was going Reds' way, Salah scored three goals within six minutes and all from Diogo Jota's assist. With three minutes left of the clock, Harvey Elliot scored the seventh goal.
The hat-trick extended Salah's goalscoring record in the Champions League to 38 and it is the biggest for any player from the Premier League in the competition. Likewise, Arfield became the third oldest Rangers' player to score in the Champion League.
