Adidas Cut Ties With Kanye West
German sportswear company, Adidas has terminated contract with famous rapper and Yeezy owner Kanye West with "immediate effect" over what they described as "unacceptable hateful" comments.
Kanye has recently been losing some of his business associates amongst of which was Balenciaga, and his talent agency CAA over the same reasons. Twitter and Instagram have also suspended his accounts following spate of incisive comments.
"Adidas does not tolerate antisemitism and other sort of hate speech" the footwear maker said in a statement. "Ye's recent comments and actions have been unacceptable, hateful and dangerous, and they violate the company's values of diversity and inclusion, mutual respect and fairness."
Earlier this month, Adidas announced it has placed its relationship with the Yeezy owner under review after he wore a "White Lives Matter" T-shirt at the Paris Fashion Week.
Likewise, Ye's relationship with another outfit, GAP has suffered a setback after he threatened to terminate his 10-year deal with the company for not keeping their deal terms. He accused the company of not carrying him along as they have agreed to.
