Thomas Tuchel Leaves Chelsea
Thomas Tuchel is no longer the manager of Chelsea F.C following his dismissal by the club a night after his men lost 1-0 to Dinamo Zagreb in the Champions League opening game.
The 49-year-old German was appointed to replace Frank Lampard in January, 2021 and his highest achievement at the club was winning the Champions League title in the same year. He later led the team to also win the UEFA Super Cup and the Fifa Club World Cup.
No names have been shortlisted yet to replace Tuchel but the club confirmed in a statement that his coaching team will carry on in his stead until a suitable candidate is found.
"On behalf of everyone at Chelsea FC, the club would like to place on record its gratitude to Thomas and his staff for all their efforts during their time with the club," the statement reads.
