Roger Federer Retires From Tennis

Swizz tennis ace Roger Federer has retired from the sport as he had announced that Laver Cup tournament will be the last of his career.

Rafael Nadal played alongside Federer in his last match in the doubles of Laver Cup against America duo Jack Socks and Frances Tiafoe and they lost out after two sets 4-6 7-6(2) 11-9. That match was the last of Federer's career and it was an emotional moment for him, and likewise Nadal.

"It's been the perfect journey. I'd do it all again." he said giving his retirement speech after the match stating that his "body's message lately has been clear."

Federer is a 20-time Grand Slam winner and ranked third in all-time men's biggest major singles titles champions behind Novak Djokovic (21) and Nadal (22) respectively. He tops Wimbledon for the most Gentlemen titles with eight and shared most consecutive record with Bjorn Borg with five in a row.
