Champions League: Erling Haaland Powers Man City To Beat Dortmund

Erling Haaland left his former team Borussia Dortmund devastated with a late strike that sank the side in a 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in a thrilling comeback.

City remained atop of Group G with six points but were set to lose the game against the German side that took the lead of the game in the second half as Jude Bellingham finished off Marco Reus' cross. with a header from close ranger.

At this time, the Germans seemed poised to make way with the maximum points. Earlier before the lead, Reus had come close to scoring the opening goal from a fast break but hit the ball just wide. The game turned on it head for the Germans when John Stones struck home right-footed shot from the edge of the box for City's equalizer.

Just four minutes later, Dortmund saw the game slid off their reach as Joao Cancelo connected Erling in the box with a superb cross and the Norwegian lifted himself to poke the ball past the opponents' goalkeeper Meyer.

Erling left the German side in summer as the side's leading goalscorer which he yet is at City were he now has now scored 13 goals so far, and in the Champions League, today's goal brings his record to a tally of 26 goals.
