Premier League: Bad Temper Runs High Between Coaches In Chelsea vs Tottenham Derby
"Those goals shouldn't be allow. Those goals are irregular," those are the words of Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel after his club's controversial draw 2-2 against Tottenham.
The London derby had temper running high between the managers and that came up to the surface when Spurs' boss Antonio Conte and Tuchel fell out and shoved each other over when the referee didn't concede to penalizing Spurs' Rodrigo Bentacur for a rough tackle on Kai Havertz.
At this point both side were on 1-1 draw. First goal came from Blues' newly-signed Kalidou Koulibaly and Spurs' Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg equalised the lead in the second half. To stem the tidy of the temper between the two coaches they were both yellow-carded.
Chelsea did saw money spent this summer working as qnother newly-signed Raheem Sterling's pass set James out for the finish as Blues regained the lead but a flick header from Harry Kane following a corner would ended the game in a 2-2 draw.
At the blast of the whistle, the two coaches yet walked into each other in pretence of exchanging compliments but what ensued was another melee. Stewards and players quickly rushed into to pull both managers apart. In the end, Conte was red carded.
By the way, it will be fair to bear in mind that Conte is returning to the Premier League on a high note having led Inter Milan to win their first Italian Serie A in eleven years. Tuchel likewise, is working hard for his first Premier League title having won many league titles with his former team, Paris Saint-Germain.
