Premier League: Arsenal Maintain Perfect Start By Beating Aston Villa
Arsenal continued their clean start to the season with a 2-1 win against Aston Villa at Emirates Stadium and remain in the top spot of the league stats with 15 points.
Villa actually should have conceded much more than they did only that for some reasons Arsenal found multiple glaring chances hard to finish. Gabriel Jesus eventual ended the deadlock for the side but that was after he had missed a chance.
Jesus scored his third goal in the campaign for the side on half hour of play as he quickly reacted to a rebound shot from Granit Xhaka and beat goal keeper Emiliano Martinez to the goal. Arsenal dominated most of the first half and Gabriel Martinelli attempted shot at the goal was another should-be goal that Martinez palmed out of touch.
Arsenal received a shock when Douglas Luiz scored an equalizer from the corner, and soon after, Martinelli scored the winning goal by tapping home from close range a cross from Bukayo Saka.
Saka's assist on the winning goal eventually compensated for chances he missed by the attacking midfielder. Another of one of those chances missed was from Odegaard whose shot from inside the box was blocked.
