Novak Djokovic To Miss US Open

 


Novak Djokovic has made it known that he will not be participating at the US Open as he is unable to travel to the country for some reasons. 

The 21-time Grand Slam winner is on a loggerhead with the organizers of the tournament over his Covid-19 vaccine refusal which is a condition that was met with restriction from entering the country. 

In a tweeted message released by the Serbian, he confirmed his absence from the tournament that will commence 29, August as he wrote: "Sadly, I will not be able to travel to NY this time for US Open."

Djokovic defended the Wimbledon title back-to-back in a final against Nick Kyrgios but he was unable at the Australian Open following the country's entry restriction for non-vaccinated travelers.
