Man. United Reach £70M Agreement With Juventus For Casemiro
Manchester United have reached an agreement with Real Madrid on a four-year contract worth £70million for the transfer of midfield player Casemiro.
Casemiro is set to make up for the lapses in the midfield of Erik ten Hag's men, who have failed to win any of the two league games played since the start to the season. They are at the bottom of the EPL table for the first time in 30 years.
The signing of the Brazilian will make him one of the highest paid in the club after Cristiano Ronaldo and Harry Maguire. The fees as agreed to with Madrid, reportedly is an initial payment of £60m and the remainder of £10m plus add-ons.
United had initially made a move for Adrien Rabiot of Juventus, deemed as replacement for Paul Pogba who left the club to join the Italian side this summer but talks failed to yield for the French player and United switch over to pursue Casemiro.
The 30-year-old will be the fourth signing in this window for United after Lisandro Martinez, Tyrell Malacia and former Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen.
