Anthony Joshua vs Oleksandr Usyk Rematch: Ukrainian Fighter Retains Heavyweight Titles

Anthony Joshua. for the first time in his career, has lost back-to-back to the same fighter and failed to regain the heavyweight titles as Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk defeated him on unanimous scores.

Usyk held on through 12 rounds and was ruled to have scored more points than the former heavyweight champion by three judges Steve Gray (115-113), Victor Fesechko (116-112) and Glenn Feldman(115-113). He now retained the three heavyweight titles, WBO, WBA, and IBF.

Joshua was able to land some good shots but the Ukrainian had him under control well enough that it was convincing by the 11 rounds that the Briton was desperate to get a knockout as he chased the defending champion around the ring.

To be continues...
