Wimbledon 2022: Novak Djokovic Sets Up Final Match Against Nick Kyrgios
Britain's number one, Cameron Norrie will not be playing the Wimbledon final which is now set for Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios after a loss in the semi-finals against the Serbian ace.
Norrie could have been anticipated as a potential finalist and perhaps his first Wimbledon final as things looked pretty fine with him from the start. He was on top of his game.
The Briton seemed as one that was ready to stop Djokovic from making his fourth successive final appearance in a row in the first set. He was able to seize three break advantages while the top seeded player could be deemed to be under his control. All the flew out out the window in the second set and thereafter.
If there was another heat aside from the sun that Norrie was under it was that from the ferocious skills of Djokovic. He could not find his footing after winning opening set. In the end, he lost out in four sets 2-6 6-3 6-2 6-4.
Nick, who will face Djokovic in the next match will playing in his first ever Grand Slam final and the farthest he has come at Wimbledon. Likewise Norrie, reaching the semi-finals is the farthest he has come at Wimbledon.
