Mohamed Salah Renews Contract With Liverpool
Liverpool will get to have Mohamed Salah for a much longer time after the player signed a new contract for three years with club.
Jurgen Klopp confirmed the signing in a statement and described it as the "best decision" for the club that he joined from AS Roma in 2017.
The contract is reportedly worth more than £350,000-a-week and that will make the Egyptian forward the highest-paid in the history of the club.
Salah has been an arrowhead for many achievement by the club in the last five years in many ways. He led the club as the top goalscorer for the 2021/22 season with 31 goals in all competitions and 23 of those goals were in league games. He has occupied the top scorer spot since he arrived Anfield in 2017/18.
"This is a special treat for our supporters to enjoy their weekend even more," said Klopp. "I'm sure there will be some celebration for this news tonight."
The 30-year-old stint at Anfield has been trophy-ladden as he won with club their first league title in 30 years in 2019/20 and the Champions League also in the same year.
