Jessie Lingard Joins Nottingham Forest

 

Jessie Lingard is off to Nottingham Forest after the club completed his signing on a free transfer on Thursday. 

The England international had just completed his loan move to West Ham in June from Manchester United where he started his football career from the academy. 

Forest are making a comeback to the Premier League since they relegated from the top division in 1999 after they won the 2022 Championship playoffs and have been making a lot of signings this summer.

Lingard's signing brings the club's total to eleven so far. He was signed from United to a one-year contract.

West Ham had intended to sign the player, 29, to a permanent contract but were understood not to be ready to get in bidding contest with any other club as Everton were also intending to make a move for him.
