Gabriel Jesus Joins Arsenal For £45M

Gabriel Jesus has left Manchester City for their Premier League rivals, Arsenal in a long term contract worth £45million.

Arsenal missed qualifying for the Champions League for finishing fifth, but they will be participating in the Europa League. The club manager Mikel Arteta, in a statement, expressed his confidence in the signing of the Brazilian whose arrival he said he is "very excited" over.

"This Is a position that's been on our radar for a long time now," said Arteta. "We have managed to get a player that we all wanted, so I'm really happy. "

Gabriel will be Arteta's four signing in this transfer window and will suit the replacement of former Arsenal forward, Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang who left the side for Barcelona last season.

At City, the 25-year-old has a record of 95 goals throughout his stint in all competitions and won eight trophies including four Premier League titles with the club.
