Christian Eriksen Joins Manchester United
Manchester United have completed the signing of Brentford player, Christian Eriksen to a three-year contract.
The Danish player left Brentford on free transfer after his contract with the club ran out in June. He had early in July agreed in principle to a transfer to United before the deal was completed on Friday.
Tottenham were hoping to resign the attacking midfielder but he opted for United instead. Spurs sold him to Inter Milan for a season in 2020 and he moved back to England after completing his contract to join Brentford last season.
"Manchester United is a special club and I can not wait to get started," said Eriksen.
United manager Erik ten Hag had just settled the speculations over the future of Cristiano Ronaldo at the club that he would not be leaving this summer. However, the club's former world record signing Paul Pogba had in June left to rejoin Juventus where he was signed from in 2016.
After seven seasons spell at Tottenham, Eriksen won his first trophy with Inter Milan, who won the Italia Serie A title for the first time in eleven years under Antonio Conte.
