Sadio Mane Completes Move To Bayern Munich
Sadio Mane has completed his transfer to Bayern Munich on a three-year contract that ended his stint at liverpool.
The forward, who described the move as the "right time" for a new "challenged" had once said he would like to follow the calls from his Senegalese fans to leave.
"Sadio Mane is a world star who underscores the appeal of Bayern Munich," said the club's president Herbert Hainer.
As Robert Lewandowski remained keen of leaving the club this summer, Mane is deemed his replacement should the Polish forward secured a transfer - he is currently linked to Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
Liverpool are expected to get first payment of £27.4m from the deal and the rest of the fee will be paid as add-ons based on the player's performance and team achievements.
"I felt the great interest of this big club from the start so there was no doubt in my kind," said Mane on his move to Bayern.
The 30-year-old was signed to Liverpool from Southampton for £34m in June, 2016 and had since scored 120 goals in 239 games in all competitions. During his spell at Anfield, he won with the club both the Champions League and the Premier League in 2019/2020 that ended the club's 30-year-long league title drought.
