Canada Grand Prix: Hamilton Makes Podium As Max Verstappen Wins
Max Verstappen clinched his sixth race win of the season in Canada and got the maximum points enough to move him clear nearest person in the F1 title race.
Lewis Hamilton had an interesting race and his first podium appearance since the start of the season in Bahrain after finishing third behind Ferrari's Carlos Sainz.
Alpine's Fernando Alonso, on the contrary, could not live up to expectations despite defiling the wet weather conditionnat the qualifying session to grab a front row start in P2.
It was the former F1 champion's first front row start in a decade and held on competitively through the first lap holding off Sainz, but in the end, finished ninth behind his teammate Ocon who finished sixth.
"It feels great today to be in amongst the battle," says Hamilton. "It's given me and the team a lot of hope that there is more to come from this car."
