Max Verstappen has taken the leadership of driver's standing from Charles Leclerc after winning the race at Spanish Grand Prix.
Verstappen finished quickest in 1:37:20.475s followed by his teammate Sergio Perez and now leads the F1 Championship race with 110 points over Leclerc (104 pt).
It was a dramatic start for the drivers on the grid as Haas' Kevin Magnussen, on the first lap, collided with Lewis Hamilton and spun out of the race. Ferrari's Carlos Sainz also lost control and spun out of the race to the roadsides on Lap 7, and likewise Verstappen on Lap 9.
Leclerc accidentally lost power on lap 24, ending his splendid lead of the race while George Russell, who had moments earlier battled with Verstappen and denied the Dutchman from taking his spot, moved up to the provision pole
Verstappen eventually took the lead after Perez had taken the lead from Russell, who pitted soon after. Hence, Verstappen led the race on for Red Bull's one-two finish with Perez.
Russell finished third for a podium position for Mercedes. Sainz, who was left to fight on after Leclerc came out of the race over failure, in the end finished fourth ahead of Hamilton.
