Premier League: Manchester United Get Three In Against Brentford
Manchester United are keeping the chances of qualifying for UEFA Europa League stronger after beating Brentford 3-0 as their hope of finishing in the top four is very slim.
Brentford conceded the first goal very early into the game from Bruno Fernandes but managed to hold down that margin until after the break when Cristiano Ronaldo convert a spot kick to double the lead.
Rafael Varane completed the victory by scoring the third goal and his first for the club. It happened to be the last home game for United and their interim manager Ralf Rangnick's biggest win as the team boss.
The margin could have been bigger but Ronaldo had a goal ruled out and the Portuguese forward finished the game with his 18th goal this season.
Brentford are yet set to avoid relegation with 40 points that kept the side four places away from the red line despite the loss.
