Liverpool Are The FA Cup Champions
Liverpool are the track to making their treble dreams alive after winning the FA Cup to double their trophy stack having won the Carabao EFL Cup.
Chelsea lost the bid to clinch the trophy as they were outlasted by Reds on penalties after playing goalless draw through both halves.
Reds made most of their chances but couldn't get the ball past Edouard Mendy as Luis Diaz and Andrew Robertson's attempts at the goal caught the woodwork.
It was all-eyes on the both sides when getting ready to settle the game on penalties before the crowds at Wembley Stadium. Reds emerged as the winners after Blues' Cesar Azpilicueta and Mason Mount missed their penalties and Reds' Kostas Tsimkas scored the deciding penalty for a 6-5 win.
Mohamed Salah also had his penalty saved by Mendy when they needed to score but Allison restored Reds' hope of lifting the trophy and saved Mount's penalty.
The defeat marked Thomas Tuchel's men second against Liverpool in Wembley finals this season. Winning the FA Cup could have been consolidating for losing EFL CUP, but they yet conceded to the side whose coach described them as "monsters mentality" type of players.
