Cristiano Ronaldo Tops 100th Goal With Manchester United
There appears to be no stopping yet of Cristiano Ronaldo scoring goals as he passed 100th by scoring for Manchester United in the 1-1 draw against Chelsea at Old Trafford.
Blues were superb for the most part of the first half and did repeatedly put David De Gea to tests with Kai Havertz striking three times. Konta was also terrifying for United's midfield by inspiring fast breaks and on two occasions set Haverrz off for strikes.
The first half went through goalless, and upon their return from break, Chelsea maintained the tempo and that did pay off but Ronaldo quickly savaged a point for United by getting them an equalizer.
Marco's Alonso volleyed from close range a headed pass from Havertz into the net following a cross from Reeces James and put Chelsea in the lead. United responded and equalised the scores two minutes later when Ronaldo smashed home a lobbed pass from Nemanja Matic.
The goal scored was Ronaldo's 102nd for United and he remained the team's highest goalscorer this season with 18 goals in all competitions.
Chelsea remained winless in nine previous league games against United. However, they maintained the third position in the top four with 70 points.
