Contract Extension: Mikel Arteta Wants To Take Arsenal To Champions League

Mikel Arteta will be committing more years to his job at Arsenal and has signed a contract extension with the club that will keep him until the end of 2024-25 season.

Arsenal retained their spot in the top four by beating West Ham 2-1 at home last weekend and that has helped to sustain their pursuit to qualify for the Champions League next season.

The Spaniard's dream might not too far from the above as he mentioned in his statement that, it is his desire to take the team to the "next level" which ultimately is playing in the Champions League.

"We have to be playing in the Champions League," Arteta assures in his statement.

He goes on to say: "We have to be able to evolve the team, improve our players, improve all departments, generate even more connection with our fans, improve the atmosphere at Emirates, be able to recruit top, top talent and the best people for this club."

The Spaniard's women counterpart at the club, Jonas Eidevall also extended his contract as the women's boss until the end of the 2023-24 season.
