Borussia Dortmund Sack Head Coach
Borussia Dortmund head coach Marco Rose has been relinquished of his job at the club barely a year after his appointment.
Marco will be leaving the club without winning any trophies as his men finished the season in second place behind Bayern Munich and they were also eliminated from both UEFA Champions League and Europa League.
The club chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke confirmed the sacking of Marco and also revealed that though the discussion was not "an easy one", the team's performance was "unsatisfactory for many reason" this season.
"This day is not an easy one for any of us," said Hans-Joachim. "After a season that was unsatisfactory for various reasons, we had to realise that we didn't get the most out of our opportunities in many areas."
Dortmund finished in second place with 69 points as Marco led the team to 27 wins in 47 games throughout his reign.
