Manchester City To Trigger Haaland Erling's Release Clause

 

Haaland Erling is set to make his way to Manchester City as the club has reportedly reached an agreement with the player's representatives over his transfer from Borussia Dortmund. 

The Norwegian has a release clause of £63 million which City are keen on triggering and offer packages of a deal worth £500,000/week, and that in effect, will make Haaland the highest-paid player in the league. 

Haaland has proven to be a terrific striker since his stint at Red Bull Salzburg, and so far this season at both club and national level, he has scored 33 goals in 31 appearances. His attractive profile has drawn clubs like Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain to join the race to have him.

Amidst multiple interest in the player, City are understood to finish with the transfer in a matter of weeks with the hope that the player will not accept contract extension with Dortmund neither will Real nor PSG make bigger offers.
