Kendrick Lamar Announces New Album Title, Release Date
To many, it's taken too long for Kendrick Lamar to come out of hiatus since his last, DAMN but the Compton rapper is now set the end the break in just weeks times.
Kendrick set his 10.1M Instagram followers rushing to his page which he hardly uses when he uploaded picture update of his announcement.
With the release date set for 13, May for the album titled, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, the wait for the artist's new studio project can be considered over with.
However, the Kunfu King rapper followed the announcement with an official statement that informed that any new developments concerning the release will be directly from the same source.
"Los Angeles, C. A (April 18, 2022) - The following statement was released today by oklama, through his company PgLang at 11:00am PT in Los Angeles, C A," the statement reads. "Album: Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers. Release date: 5/13/2022."
He added, "All factual information for this release will come directly from this source only."
The statement was released on his music imprint, PG Lang letterhead paper that he reportedly co-owned with his friend, Dave Free which is believed to be the source to break any new developments from the artist.
Kendrick won the best rap album for DAMN at the 2018 Grammy's, and later in the year, won the Pulitzer prize for the same album. Recently, he performed on stage at the 2022 NFL Halftime Superbowl Show alongside Dr. DRE, Mary J. Blige, Eminem and 50 cent.
Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers is expected to be the artist's last album and as speculated might be a 12-track long based on the list of new songs that he's understood to have just registered with the American Society of Composer, Authors, and Publishers, ASCAP.
