FA Cup: Chelsea And Liverpool To Meet In Final

FA Cup final will be between Chelsea and Liverpool after Blues claimed a tough 2-0 win against Crystal Palace at Wembley Stadium on Sunday.

Chelsea are into their third final appearance at the competition but Liverpool, who won the Carabao Cup in February, will be making their first appearance since 2012.

Palace proved to be difficult ones to Chelsea and held down a goalless game until Loftus-Cheek broke the deadlock after an hour of play lashing home Kai Havertz's deflected cross.

Havertz and Mason Mount did a one-two ball before Mount latched onto a lose pass inside the box and finished it off for Chelsea's second. Romelu Lukaku later missed a chance from close range and Hakim Ziyech quick reaction to the ball that bounced of the bar also clipped the crossbar and bound off to safety.

Besides Chelsea making a domestic final appearance, they won the 2021 UEFA Champions League but are out of the competition this season after losing to Real Madrid on 5-4 aggregate score.

Meanwhile, Blues have missed out back-to-back on the title, first was under Frank Lampard in a 2-1 to Arsenal in 2020, and second was under Thomas Tuchel in a 1-0 loss to Leicester City in 2021.
