Premier League: Liverpool Reach 2000th League Goal After beaten Brighton & Hove
It wasn't the match yet for Brighton & Hove to their regain winning form as Liverpool notched two goals in to narrow gap with league table leaders, Manchester City to three points.
Brighton's fifth losing spree came out the back of brilliant strikes inspired by Luiz Dias and Mo Salah and those completed Liverpool's 2000th Premier League goal milestone.
Luiz latched onto a chipped pass from Joel Matip and finished that off with a header. After the break, Salah converted the penalty drawn by Yves Bissoumi for the winning goal.
Meanwhile, Brighton's goalkeeper Sanchez got away with the rough challenge on Diaz while running onto the ball and knocked him to the floor as the ball was headed past him.
Salah on his part didn't only scored the club's 2000th goal making them the second after Manchester United to teach the feat but he also extended his goal tally this season to 28th.
The victory extended Reds' winning run to eight games in a row and are second in the table after Manchester City, who are the title defenders with 69 points.
