Champions League: Real Madrid Reach Quarterfinals As Karim Benzema Nets Hattrick

Real Madrid have made their ways through to the quarterfinals with a thrilling comeback that cancelled out Paris Saint-Germain's lead to win by 3-1 - an aggregate score of 3-2.

Mbappe's early effort to give PSG the lead in the first half got erased by the stunning hattrick from Karim Benzema while the French side were unlucky with the VAR.

PSG added in the opening goal when Mbappe latched onto the ball and smashed it in from inside the box amidst two Real's defenders. Meanwhile, that could have been his second goal but the VAR ruled out his first for being in offside position.

The tide began to change when Benzema capitalised on PSG's goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnaarumma's error and scored Real's first goal. He leveled up the scoreline with an assist from Luke Modric and delivered the winning goal with a shot down the bottom right - He scored these goals within 20 minutes.

Neymar Jr and Lionel Messi were well kept under watch by Real while Mbappe did most of the job chasing up the ball  which could have paid off but had two goals ruled out for offside.
