64th Grammy Awards Ceremony Is Postponed

Organisers of the Grammy Awards have thought it best to postpone the show, considering the health implications of doing so and having to ensure the safety of attendees from contracting the new Covid-19 variant, Omicron.

The announcement was made on Wednesday in a statement that the event which was scheduled to hold on January 31st have been cancelled and a new date will be announced in due course.

"Given the uncertainty surrounding the Omicron variant, holding he show on January 31 simply contains too many risk," the organisers said. "We look forward to celebrating Music's Biggest Night on a future date, which will be announced soon."

Famous standup and The Daily Show host Trevor Noah will be hosting the show which was meant to be hold at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles.
