Saudi Arabia GP: Lewis Hamilton Wins As Max Verstappen Gets Penalized
Chaotic start and dangerous driving as it may seemed between Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen at the Saudi Arabia Grand Prix on Sunday, the race yet produced its first winner on its F1 debut. Hamilton made it for Mercedes as the winner.
Hamilton closed in on winning his eighth F1 championship title after finishing quickest while his Red Bull rival, Verstappen came third. They both have now leveled on points (369.5) with a Grand Prix remaining to go.
F1 Stewards couldn't help but slammed a 10-second time penalty on Verstappen for not letting Hamilton pass when instructed to on Lap 37. He caused Hamilton to take a quick evasive action instead colliding with him and ran wide.
The Mercedes crew boss Toto Wolff was angered over the collision. Eventually, Hamilton took the lead on Lap 42 to clinch the victory 2:06:15.118s.
Abu Dhabi Grand Prix will be the final race for the season and championship title will decided. Also up for grab is the constructor title.
