Saudi Arabia GP: Lewis Hamilton Wins As Max Verstappen Crashes Into Wall
Saudi Arabia Grand Prix could be the turning point for Mercedes to retain yet again the F1 championship title as Lewis Hamilton took pole at the qualifying whilst Max Verstappen missed out on pole for crashing into the wall and finished third.
The title race between the two drivers is royally tight and Verstappen is in the lead with eight points over Hamilton and Red Bull desperately needs not to lose any race to Hamilton but would need the title defender.
Verstappen was all set to finish in pole before lost control and swerved into the wall at Turn 27. It was on the last lap for him. He felt disappointed but left the spot sober. Mind you, the circuit is such a trick one as Hamilton nearly bagged a penalty when he nearly collide nearly on.
The accident allowed the two Mercedes drivers to take a one-two win as Valtteri Bottas finished second quick.
