Champions League: Man City Though To Knockout Stages


RB Leipzig won their last group stage game against Manchester City by 2-1 but failed to qualify for the knockout stages of the competition while the Premier League side led the group with 12 points. 

City played the last minutes of the game one-man down as Kyle Walker was red carded six minutes after Riyadh Mazreh pulled a goal back for the side with a diving header. 

The German aide scored in both halves with Dominick Szoboszlai scoring the opening by rounding City's Zack Steffen and Andre Silva doubled the lead doubled the lead before Mahrez pulled on back. 

Kevin de Bruyne a brilliant attempt from a free-kick saved by Gulacsi. However, neither a draw or loss would change City's chance to qualify as they led Group A with 12 points and followed by PSG with 11 points. Meanwhile, the Germans have made it to the Europa League knockout stages.
