Bundesliga: R. Lewandowski Sees B. Munich Through Against Wolfsburg For New Scoring Feat
Robert Lewandowski scored a thrilling late winner for Bayern Munich against Wolfsburg and put his name up as the biggest goalscorer a single calendar year in Bundesliga history.
The game was already in Bayern's way before the Polish sensational struck a brilliant volley home with three minutes remaining on the board as the team thrashed their opponents 4-0 on home turf.
Coming into the game, Lewandowski was on even goalscoring feat with former German forward Gerd Muller, who had held the record for 42 years. That history changed soon after he goal scored and made it his 43rd goal making it the biggest in the league in a single calendar year.
Lewandowski was voted the Ballon d'Or best striker of the year but he has maintained his leading scoring feat in the league up on till now. He finished last season as the biggest goalscorer with 40 goals.
