Abu Dhabi GP: Max Verstappen Takes Pole As Title Race Goes Winner Takes All
Lewis Hamilton and Max Verstappen have the last race of the season on their hands with the F1 Championship at stake for both of them and likewise the constructor teams at the final of the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday.
Verstappen came out on pole at the qualifying session following a good team work with his teammate Sergio Perez, who gave him a tow on the straight. Meanwhile, Hamilton didn't use any towing rather he paced up at the of Q3 but was outpaced by the Dutchman
As it is presently, both drivers are level points in the race for the title but should a winner failed to emerge on points at the final, the title will go to Verstappen on total race won so far. However, going by their performances over the weekend, expectations are that a winner will emerge.
Hamilton came out fastest at the second practice after Verstappen took the lead at the first practice on Friday. The final hold history for both drivers - Hamilton fighting for all-time biggest eighth title while Verstappen will be contesting for his first ever F1 title and first won for Red Bull since 2021.
