Tottenham: Nuno Espirito Out, Antonio Conte Lines Up For Job


It was only four months ago that Nuno Espirito was appointed as Spurs" manager. He has just been ousted following the club's performance. 

Tottenham lost to Manchester United on Saturday, making it the team's fifth losses in seven games, and that left them in the eighth place on the table with 10 points. The dismissal ended the two-year contract signed by the of the Portuguese manager in the summer. 

The club in a statement released by its managing director, Fabio Paratici assured that the search for Nuno's replacement will "follow in due course" after the exit of the 47-year-old, yet thanked "him and his coaching staff" and wished them the best as they leave. 

Former Chelsea and Milan manager, Antonio Conte has been rumoured to be contending for the job. Conte led Inter to win the Italia Serie A for the first time in eleven years last season.
