Sao Paulo GP: Lewis Hamilton Wins From 10th On Grid
Lewis Hamilton has restored his F1 title hope and has cut Max Verstappen's lead after a stunning comeback to clinch the victory at the Sao Paulo GP despite the odds of starting in 10th following a penalty.
Verstappen was faced with a fierce battle with Hamilton, who kept abreast with him until he sped past him in an epic overtake and stamped his control over the pace.
Hamilton was made to start from behind following a cancellation over his right-wing Infringement. He managed to finish the qualifying in 5th but the cancellation yet meant that he would have to start from behind.
"Coming into the weekend I never ever thought we would be able to close the gap like we had today," said Hamilton who now trailed the Red Bull driver by 14 points.
