Off-White Founder Virgil Abloh Is Dead
Virgil Abloh, the first black artistic director of Louis Vuitton and also the founder of Off-White has passed away. He was aged 41.
The passing of the deceased was confirmed by Louis Vuitton executive director, Bernault Arnault in a statement on Sunday. However, Abloh was diagnosed with a rare form of heart disease, cardiac angiosarcoma in 2019.
"We are all shocked by this terrible news, virgil was not only a genius designer, a visionary, he was also a man with a beautiful soul and great wisdom," Bernault said in a statement."
Abloh is a close friend to industry-mate and hip hop artist, Kanye West and his clothing line is also supported by popular names in the field amongst which is Kim Kardashian, Hailey Bieber and many others.
